Pleasant Meadows SSC Farm is a mission inspired rural, small scale commercial farm, a learning centre for sustainable farming methods, a nutrition garden for the community with outgrower villages. It is a multi-purpose rural social transformation centre and a hub for value addition on-farm and off-farm agro-enterprises.

Pleasant Meadows SSC Farm is in rural Zimbabwe. The name Pleasant Meadows is inspired by Psalm 16:5 which says "The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places, I have a wonderful inheritance."

The Living Bible (TLB) says

Ps 16:5-7

The Lord himself is my inheritance, my prize. He is my food and drink, my highest joy! He guards all that is mine. 6 He sees that I am given pleasant brooks and meadows as my share! What a wonderful inheritance!

We do not have enough capital to realise our ambitious goals but we are doing something and our belief is that the God who supplies seed to the sower can also supply seed capital to the social entrepreneur...we invite like minded people to leverage our effort as the Lord leads them.

We desire to pursue sustainable farming methods as in organic farming. We want to be certified, and this calls for a lot of capital, but once certified we will be able to market our produce internationally and will be able to make money to fund the bigger picture of our social objectives. We are in a prime agricultural area with good climate. The potential is huge but it must be tapped; otherwise it remains latent.

We want to be growing into a Community Transformation Centre where many will learn about sustainable farming methods founded on Kingdom Principles.

VISION & STRATEGIC INTENT: To become a highly focused, vertically and horizontally integrated, self-sustaining and synergistic agro-based rural farming conglomerate maintaning a balance of social transformational activities anchored on community development and graduating the poor out of poverty.
