I'll Take a Mom Break but Not a Nose Break

Imagine this.

You are lying back on the couch (pregnant with your second child) and you have your precious little two year old boy sitting up in your lap, and it is picture perfect.

He is occupied and happy. You are occupied and happy. You are finally in the incline position, off your feet, so you are indeed H-A-P-P-Y!

Without warning, your son bends forward and with great force, rears his head back and slams the back of his head right into your nose.

Now the pain...it radiates from your nose to your toes, as tears well up in your eyes.

Yes, this was a moment that I will never forget. I needed a mom break alright. After crelling (crying and yelling) at my two year old, who didn't even realize what he had done, and husband (Why did I yell at my husband? Why not, he was there), I stormed off to the bathroom, checked my nose for bleeding and swelling.

No bleeding, some swelling.

I started the water for a bath and locked the door. It took a while, but eventually, I came out again.
