Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord... -Colossians 3:23a
Whatever we are called to do, we need to do it well. That is easy to do when we find our purpose and calling. The hard part is actually finding your calling.
One thing I do know is that there is no formula to figuring it out. I love formulas and books. They are so much easier to navigate than relationships. I'd really prefer to have an instruction book.
But God just won't cooperate with me on this one. Simply reading a book or taking a test or even asking another person who knows us well is empty without consulting our Creator. These things are not bad in and of themselves, but when we use them as a substitute for getting to know the One who made us and what He has planned, we will come up short. There is no substitute for a life of intimate relationship with Jesus.
Julie Gorman, founder of His Love Extended Ministries, specializes in helping women discover, develop, and do their passion. What I love about her approach is that she helps women develop a closeness with God and learn how to hear his voice. Julie offers a daily devotional blog and a weekly blog talk radio show. I asked her for some advice for busy women who want to seek God's purpose, but have trouble finding time. Read more about Julie and hear her answers to my question.

I was very skeptical when I first saw this book. Who was this sleek-looking guy telling women how to be happy and successful? Is this a message that a Christian woman would even take seriously? It looked like a catchy money-making scam to me.
