Seeking First to Be Disciples
We all want to be encouraging women who serve others. The problem is that the route we take to get there is often backwards (see Is Proverbs 31 Driving You Crazy?- 1- Things Not Found in Proverbs 31).
We try to do all of the outward activities that we think will make us a good disciple, and it never works. All that happens is that we get burned out. But God did give us some direction:
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
-Jeremiah 29:13
If I seek God first, I will truly become his follower. When my heart is his, I can stop worrying about myself and start to serve others. This will overflow as I share what I have found with other women and they also begin to seek God first.
This is Christian Women Discipleship.
