Welcome from Kelly

They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest on every side.
-2Chron 15:15b

Rest on every side - how wonderful that sounds!

How did Judah receive this? They sought God eagerly.

Did you catch that? They didn't seek God ritually. They sought him eagerly.

Webster defines eager as "very desirous; anxious to do or get."

My children act this way when they eagerly await a visit from a grandparent whom they know is going to take them for ice cream.

Do we seek God eagerly?

He has a gift better than ice cream. He has rest. Rest on every side.

The mom side. The wife side. The worker side. The volunteer side. The home manager side. The teacher or homework helper side.

He has rest for them all.

Seek God eagerly today, so that he can be found by you, and you can receive his gift of rest.
