Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street."
-Lamentations 2:19
I learned how to pray by participating in Moms In Touch International.
Here are some great testimonies about Moms In Touch:

What scripture do you use to pray?
Can you not tarry one hour? If you are too busy, then cut something out.
I don't care if you have a Sunday School lesson to plan. Shorten it or quit.
Don't be fooled. You have a spiritual enemy who hates when women pray together and loves to make you think you are being productive enough by getting involved in church activities.
If there is not a current group meeting at a time you can make it, congratulations! You have just started a group. Meet with a co-worker on your lunch break, get up early before work, meet with some moms outside of the dance studio, or get on the phone for a weekly conference call of prayer.
If no one will pray with you, choose your own time and faithfully pray for that one hour every week, remembering to pray for another mom to join you.
Our children need our faithful, dedicated prayer, and we need other moms praying with us.
"But there's something about praying with another person that intensifies prayer and sends it to heaven with greater velocity." (Robert J. Morgan, The Red Sea Rules )
Let me summarize an illustration that Fern Nichols, founder of Moms In Touch, gave in her book Every Child Needs a Praying Mom .
In Mark 2, there is a story of four men who carried a paralytic to Jesus. They each picked up a corner of his mat. They were so determined to help him that when they couldn't get in the door, they ripped a hole in the roof.
Fern describes praying moms as "mat carriers."
One mom dragging around her child on a mat feels a heavy weight. But as other moms come along side of her in prayer, they each pick up a corner of the mat, and faith and hope increase as their prayers encourage each other.
I have a friend who has prayed very faithfully with me for many years. Our lives are both very busy for very different reasons, and sometimes it is very hard to get together and pray. The reason we do is because we have experienced what happens women pray together.
Did you watch the first video? Remember that mom who was cheering for all of the children at graduation? (If you don't, go back and watch it). We know what that feels like.
Our children have not graduated, but we have seen answered prayers in the lives of each other's children, and we rejoice over each one as if it was our own child.
We recently had the opportunity to pray with a larger group of moms, and the room was filled with beautiful prayer. On the way home, we discussed the fact that so many women are missing out on this.
Don't miss out!

Tabitha's Team is a Christian women's website, based on Acts 9:36: In Joppa, there was a disciple named Tabitha...who was always doing good and helping the poor.

I hope to inspire Christian women to seek first to be disciples, encourage each other to break free from perfectionism, and live as servants of Jesus.
